Gareth has been at the forefront of the Australian media scene for three decades and has vast experience in all forms of news gathering.
An award-winning journalist, he has served as political correspondent in the Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne press galleries for both The Age and Channel Ten. At Fairfax, he also spent time as medical, transport and business reporter and covered indigenous affairs and environmental issues in the nation’s capital.
These key areas of expertise have given Gareth a unique insight into the machinations of government, corporate and news sectors across Australia. He has an intimate knowledge of the best ways to navigate bureaucracies and distil and convey key messages to the public.
More recently, he has worked as a media advisor as well as a freelance television, radio and online journalist for SBS, covering an array of local and international stories for the network.
Gareth is also an accomplished media trainer, having conducted one-on-one executive training and group media training with a range of public and private sector clients.
